{"id":10078851,"date":"2023-10-20T13:45:56","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T13:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sktcorp.com\/?p=10078851"},"modified":"2023-10-20T13:45:56","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T13:45:56","slug":"2nd-annual-beartracks-celebration-a-cultural-extravaganza-for-indigenous-peoples-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sktcorp.com\/2nd-annual-beartracks-celebration-a-cultural-extravaganza-for-indigenous-peoples-day\/","title":{"rendered":"2nd Annual Beartracks Celebration: A Cultural Extravaganza for Indigenous Peoples&#8217; Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On October 9, S&amp;K Technologies was a proud sponsor of the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Annual Beartracks Celebration, hosted at Caras Park in Missoula, MT, for Indigenous Peoples\u2019 Day.<\/p>\n<p>The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) hosted the community celebration commemorating the renaming of the now Beartracks Bridge, previously known as Higgins St. Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>This name was selected to honor one of Chief Charlo\u2019s trusted advisors, Beartracks, who was a prominent member of the CKST tribe when they were forcibly removed from the Missoula area territory.<\/p>\n<p>The event was rich culturally and included a powwow with competitive dancing, diverse food vendors, and a market featuring Indigenous-made products with more than 30 booths.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;K Technologies and S&amp;K Mission Management (SKMM) both represented the corporate booth during the event.
