Navy taps S&K Aerospace for P-8A Poseidon Aircraft Repair, Overhaul, and Upgrade Support

St. Ignatius, Montana – May, 2020 – S&K Aerospace, LLC was awarded a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at $30.9 million for the repair, overhaul, and upgrade of 361 parts used on the P-8A Poseidon. The contract is in direct support of the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), which provides program and supply support for Navy, Marine Corp, and Joint and Allied Forces weapon systems. Work will be performed at S&K Aerospace offices in Byron, Georgia and at multiple repair facilities throughout the CONUS.

This contract adds to S&K Aerospace’s extensive Repair and Return portfolio. For over 20 years the company has provided support for multiple U.S. and Allied Forces. Their diverse customer base includes more than 100 foreign military services with a contract volume in excess of $4 billion dollars. The company is headquartered in St. Ignatius Montana with offices around the country and in Saudi Arabia.

Navy-P-8A-Poseidon-Photo-courtesy-US-NAVY-GroundThe P-8A Poseidon is a military derivative of the Boeing 737 and serves as a long-range maritime patrol aircraft with advanced mission systems.  It features an active multi-static and passive acoustic sensor system, inverse synthetic aperture radar, new electronic support measures system, new electro-optical/infrared sensor, and a digital magnetic anomaly detector. S&K Aerospace will furnish all labor, material, and facilities as required to repair, upgrade, and overhaul the ordered quantities of P-8A spare repairable assemblies.
