S&K is proud to have participated in the 2025 National Small Business Conference in New Orleans, held February 11-13. As part of the event, Ian Rufe, VP of Corporate Development at S&K, joined Lenee Lyte, Government Contracts Advisor at GovCon Advisory, to present the breakout session “Technologies to Scale: Cultivating Your Toolkit in Times of Growth.”
The session focused on how small and growing businesses can effectively leverage widely available tools like Microsoft 365 suite to scale their operations. Rufe and Lyte emphasized the importance of prioritizing people and processes ahead of technology and knowing when to transition from basic productivity tools to enterprise-wide solutions.
The discussion engaged a diverse audience, from solo entrepreneurs to larger small businesses with over 100 employees. Attendees shared their own experiences, and the conversation continued well beyond the session, reinforcing the value of collaboration and shared learning.
