Information/Network Systems Administrator & Application Developer
Description: The Information/Network Systems (INS) Administrator and Application Developer is responsible for providing comprehensive, multi-disciplined information technology support to project-specific requirements, mobility computing, and general network operations. The INS Administrator is responsible for maintaining all aspects of a multi-user data/voice/video networking system and collaborative management information database(s). This individual is responsible for developing or adapting software tools for new and existing applications. The individual will collaborate with the entire application team to ensure fielded products optimize performance, conform to established standards, and meet business and/or customer requirements. Their responsibilities also include support and maintenance for desktop and network hardware, software, network security, installing new applications, distributing software upgrades, monitoring daily activity, enforcing licensing agreements, developing a storage management program, and providing for routine backups. Qualifications: This individual must possess a Bachelorās Degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline or at least five years experience in a related discipline. Applicable Microsoft certifications are highly desired. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of various programming languages. The candidate should also be able to configure various Windows OS services. A strong database development background is desirable with the ability to create and administrate MS SQL Server, Oracle or MS Access database solutions. The candidate should also be familiar with different development tools and collaborative environments. Candidate must be familiar with remote connectivity as well as mobile email devices/servers such as Blackberry Enterprise Server and/or Mobile ActiveSync. Must be a US citizen. COMPUTER SPECIALIST (INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST) - Overseas
Description: Serves as the Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) primary POC performing a variety of individual assignments related to IT requirements and issues within PRT. Serves as a computer systems and IT analyst for the PRT and as the Information Security Officer for PRT and subordinate staff elements. Assignments are performed in accordance with broad policy guidance and overall mission objectives. Assignments require extensive coordination with PRT command headquarters staff sections, and knowledge of Department of the Army (DA), and Department of Defense (DOD) IT Policy and Programs. Qualifications: High School graduate and information technology training, military training preferred. Senior NCO, Senior Capt. or Field Grade Officer with 10-15 years experience in an Operational area. Strong IT skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Technical Certificate/Product Certificates: Technical certificate(s) from an Accredited Technical School (Military or Commercial) in fields directly related to the duties described in this position description; courses of study and/or certificates must be in Telecommunications Management, Information Management, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or other related computer networking fields. Other certifications may include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Certified Computing Professional, or similar certifications. Must be a US citizen. OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - Overseas
Description: The direction will be received from the United States government for the Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Assistance (ORHA) to advise and assist the under secretary of defense in responding to specific tasks from the secretary of defense and interagency steering group. Position involves responsibility for operations staff activities with the ORHA staff and its subordinate elements, providing continuous information to ORHA leadership and staff. Employee will be responsible for advising the ORHA director and staff elements; preparing, updating, and maintaining staff estimates; making recommendations with regard to current and future operations; monitoring execution; and keeping the leadership abreast of the "big picture" situation.
